Position Summary: The Sales Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering effective training sessions aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of the sales team. This role involves working closely with sales leadership to identify training needs, developing engaging training content, and delivering instruction to help sales leaders excel in their roles. The goal is to improve the sales team's performance, increase revenue, and ensure that sales strategies align with our business objectives.

Required Experience and Skills for Success:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.

· Certification in sales training or sales methodology is a plus.

· 5-7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a training or coaching role.

· Proven track record in improving sales performance through training and development.

· Experience in delivering both in-person and online sales training.

· Experience in event coordination.

· Project management experience is a plus.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Ability to engage and motivate participants through dynamic and interactive training sessions.

· Knowledge of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.

· Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.

· Ability to assess individual and team performance and provide actionable feedback.

· Passionate about developing others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

· Adaptable, patient, and approachable with strong interpersonal skills.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • · Training Program Execution
    • Strategize and lead training initiatives that are relevant to the needs of the learner/employee and business(es) goals and objectives
    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for new hires and existing sales staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, CRM usage, and other key skills.
    • Facilitate workshops and role-playing exercises to help sales reps practice sales scenarios and improve their performance.
  • Training Content Development
    • Work with business leaders to understand business objectives and design learning plans and trainings to meet and exceed business needs.
    • Develop and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, online courses, and job aids that are engaging and aligned with sales goals and objectives.
    • Ensure training content is tailored to address the needs of different sales teams (e.g., new hires, acquisition sales leaders, Regionals, etc)
  • Sales Process and Performance Improvement
    • Teach sales methodologies, negotiation skills, closing techniques, and effective communication strategies.
    • Help sales reps understand the company’s sales process, product offerings, and target customer profiles.
  • Onboarding and New Hire Training
    • Lead onboarding programs for new sales hires to ensure they are quickly integrated into the company and equipped to meet sales goals.
    • Provide product knowledge and sales skills training to accelerate new hires' ability to contribute effectively.
  • Coaching and Development
    • Provide continuous training, coaching, and feedback to sales leaders based on performance metrics and observed behaviors.
    • Work with Regional and Executive leaders to identify performance gaps and offer one-on-one coaching or group training sessions to address specific needs.
  • Evaluation and Financial Impact
    • Measure the effectiveness of training sessions using feedback, assessments, and sales performance metrics.
    • Regularly report on the impact of training programs and recommend improvements based on feedback and results.
    • Partner with Sales and Operational leadership to align training programs with team goals and strategic priorities.

General Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Travel to different locations will be required.
