Position Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Vice President of FP&A and Investor Reporting to lead the financial planning, performance analysis, and investor reporting functions for our fast-paced, for-profit senior living platform. This role will report to the VP of Finance and Asset Management and work closely with the President of Senior Living and executive leadership team to drive profitability, capital efficiency, and transparency. The ideal candidate combines financial rigor with the ability to support rapid decision-making and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts across the organization’s portfolio of senior living communities.
  • Develop actionable insights to optimize occupancy, rate strategy, labor management, and community-level margins.
  • Partner with operations, asset management, and development teams to support underwriting, expansion, and repositioning opportunities.
  • Maintain robust KPIs and performance dashboards for management company and individual properties.

Investor Reporting

  • Own the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting packages for investors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial and operating results, bridging GAAP financials with operational metrics.
  • Partner with the VP of Finance and Asset Management to prepare investor presentations.
  • Forecast debt covenants compliance and partner with corporate controller on lender reporting requirements, and financial disclosures.

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Serve as a key advisor to the President of Senior Living division on strategic financial matters.
  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A and reporting team; instill a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, forecasting tools, and reporting processes.
  • Support integration and financial oversight of new acquisitions and development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare services, hospitality, or multi-site real estate environments preferred.
  • Prior experience working with individual investors is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, investor communication, and operational analytics.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency (e.g., NetSuite, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting/NSPB, Power BI).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
